What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there...especially when it comes to my latest mantra – pool party glam. Adopt it, embrace it, and take it to a beach or swim session near you…no passport required.
Ladies who splash Sincity-style don’t leave the room without a swimsuit that can hold its own, a barely there cover-up, a great pair of wedges, and full accessories.
Showgirl-it-up (in the classy way) when it comes to the actual swimsuit. Stage lights and in this case, the sun, do metallic, sequin-covered or sparkly beaded detail suits major justice. Consider them the gowns of the Slip ‘n Slide (red) carpet.
Sheer, lacy or crocheted cover ups technically don’t provide much coverage, but look hot (think strictly enough material to traipse through the casino en route to the festivities). Use the term cover up loosely and give a peek-a-boo glimpse of the bikini within.
Hello, leggy! Not only do wedges create the illusion of longer, leaner legs they also force the booty to perk-up by making the rest of you stand taller. Pa ‘rump’-pa-pum-pum. And most importantly provide a sturdier platform than a heel without compromising on height.
Pile on bangles, earrings, and long chunky necklaces, but avoid making huge investments in accessories that will be soaking in chlorine.
Now the only thing missing is the cute cabana boy.
