Bonus Blog - Kiana Benoit, teen blogger

My experience as a teen blogger finalist
By Kiana Benoit
Being a teen blogger finalist was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, honestly. I've never won anything, so being picked as a finalist was a new and exciting thing. I was nervous at first, wondering what people would think of my blogs, hoping they would be good enough. After I met the other finalists, I wasn't scared anymore. They were all really nice, and all the Coquitlam centre staff I met were very kind.
The four weeks of blog posts went by extremely fast, it feels like just yesterday I was reading my congratulations email, and now look, the contest is already over!
Writing my blogs was so much more fun than I thought. It didn't feel like an obligation, writing them was a treat. I took my time, carefully thought up each blog subject, and wrote for as long as it took until it was perfect. Sometimes I got it right after just an hour, other times it would be stretched out over multiple days.
I can't write about my experience as a finalist without talking about the amazing party they threw for us to finish the contest. Me and a friend, as well as the other bloggers and their guests, all got our nails, hair, and makeup done at Coquitlam Centre. We also got to sit and relax in the Pandora Style Lounge, while snacking on one of  my favorite foods of all time, sushi! It was one of the most fun evenings I've had in quite a while.
I'd like to thank Coquitlam Centre for having a contest like this, it was an amazing experience I'll never forget. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing.
