On February 22, WALK 2TALK and show your support for home-grown youth program
Port Coquitlam, BC – Everyone wants to help end bullying. On February 22, you can do just that at the WALK 2TALK walk to support a unique texting platform that helps youth in our community. Bring your friends, family, neighbours, or just bring yourself.
The walk takes place in downtown Port Coquitlam and includes a two kilometre route through downtown:
Date: Sunday, February 22, 2015
Time: Registration begins at 11:30; walk begins approximately 12:15
Location: The walk begins and ends at Riverside Secondary School (north side) 2215 Reeve Street, Port Coquitlam, BC (parking off Welcher Avenue)
The route is on sidewalks and should take 30 minutes to complete. Local singing phenomenon Tyson Venegas will be on hand to entertain. Pink t-shirts, umbrellas, buttons and wristbands will be available for purchase.

txt 2TALK is the first text support in Canada to connect youth with anti-bullying and harassment resources. The innovative texting platform, accessed by keying 2TALK (28255) from any mobile phone, allows youth dealing with bullying or other issues such as personal conflict, abuse, mental health, grief, homelessness or substance abuse to connect quickly with local community support services. txt 2TALK was developed in Port Coquitlam by the I AM SOMEONE Ending Bullying Society and was launched in Fall 2014.
