This holiday season, Coquitlam Centre will once again partner with SHARE Family & Community Services and host their annual ToyBank.
From Friday, November 30 until Monday, December 24, the SHARE ToyBank and SHARE Tree will be set up on Level 2 between GAP and Aritzia and will be accepting new unwrapped toys, gift cards, and cash donations.
Every year thousands of families are unable to buy Christmas presents for their children. With your help we can make the holidays a littler merrier for these children and their families. In 2017, over $8,027 (and $15,393 at Gift Wrap) in cash and another $29,292 in toys and gift cards were donated to the SHARE ToyBank. This year, SHARE expects to distribute over 1,800 Christmas Hampers and more than 2,215 toys to Tri-Cities families and children.
Not sure what to donate? Visit the SHARE Tree and select a "Holiday Heart" off the tree. Each heart contains a gift idea specifically targeting a particular age group. Or, speak to one of the Tree Volunteers and ask for a suggestion. There is a critical need for toys for children under the age of 2, as well as for "tweens" and teenagers (especially teenage boys).
