Earth Hour - This Saturday!

This Saturday, lights will switch off all over the world at 8:30 pm in support of Earth Hour. The goal behind this incredible act is that people will think about their future actions, and make wiser choices moving forward that will have an effect on climate change.
In 2010, over 1.3 billion people participated in Earth Hour, making it the biggest Earth Hour with a record 128 countries and territories united across the globe. On March 26, 2011 at 8:30 pm, cities around the globe will once again turn off their lights for one hour, sending the powerful global message that it is possible to make a difference.
How can you help? Turn the lights out! Have dinner over candlelight, read the kids their bedtime stories with a flashlight, go out and enjoy the incredible view of the sky in the darkness. It is incredible to watch the city as the lights go out, the difference is breath taking.
Coquitlam Centre will do our part too - turning off all signage and non-essential lighting thoughout our centre. Emergency lighting and security systems will remain on.
Let us know how you are participating in Earth Hour. Every little bit counts, and together we can make a difference!

Lights out at 8:30 pm on March 26, 2011!
