The Antares Grip 20 is an affordable winter tire with a directional, symmetric tread design. The tread is heavily siped (cuts in the tread block) which helps give the tire more bite and traction on packed snow and icy roads. The symmetrical herringbone tread pattern aids in braking and traction when accelerating, and evacuates water from under the tread efficiently to reduce the chance of hydro-planing in the rain. Additionally, the tread rubber is specially formulated to stay pliable even in extremely cold weather.
