The process sucks the nickel out of the steel. Nickel is one of the most common causes of metal allergies. This process cannot remove 100% of nickel. As a result, a small number of people react to it. We recommend our BioPlast, anodized, blackline, or untreated titanium body jewelry if this is a concern for you. It's externally threaded. In other words the bead screws into the post. The bead has steel threading inside it to screw onto the post. Our opal is lab-grown. Lab grownLab-grown opals are ideal for body jewelry.
