Jerome Russell Punky Colour is a semi-permanent dye that will give you vibrant, show stopping colour on bleached hair or subtle highlights on darker shades. All Punky Colour shades are gluten-free, cruelty-free, and vegan friendly. - Thick jelly consistency helps reduce messy spills and splashes. - Fruity smell. - Conditions and makes hair shiny. - Vegan and cruelty-free! - Colour lasts approximately 5-40 washes. - Lasts longer on or chemically treated hair. - Safe to re-apply again and again to refresh the colour. - Bold colour on bleached or chemically treated hair. - Soft, highlighted effect on darker hair. - Start with light blonde or bleached hair to get the brightest, boldest colour. - Apply to clean, dry, unconditioned hair for maximum porosity. - Use petroleum jelly or baby oil on ears and hairline as well as gloves to avoid staining your skin. - Shampoo less often and only wash/rinse with cold water to help lock in colour. - Store tub in a cool, dry place. - Use in a well-ventilated area (turn that fan on!). - Don't apply to wet hair. - Skip conditioning your hair. Since some conditioners create a barrier, the dye might not stick to your hair. - Avoid washing hair with hot water. - Wait to use on the broken or irritated scalp until the skin is fully healed. - Punky smells great but do not taste it! - First, dab a small amount of Punky Colour behind your ear and let sit for 5 minutes. - After 5 minutes, rinse off with water. - If a reaction occurs, discontinue use. - Start by snipping a few strands of hair from someplace unnoticeable. For example, the nape of your neck. Keep them together using an elastic band and then place hair on newspaper. - Then dab Punky onto your strands until thoroughly coated. Then let sit for 15 minutes. - Check strands after 15 minutes by wiping the dye off the strands with a cotton pad. If the colour is not as bright as desired, re-apply and wait another 10 minutes. - Repeat this process until the desired colour is achieved. Rinse and blow-dry. If the hair has reached your desired colour, make note of the time. - Start by shampooing your hair (preferably with a clarifying shampoo). Do not use conditioner or 2-in-1 shampoo. - Make sure to dry your hair before moving forward. - Cover all clothing and surfaces that could get stained. - Apply petroleum jelly or baby oil to hairline and ears. This protects your skin from stains. - Next, put on your gloves. - Then apply Punky Colour to the hair evenly (a tint brush is helpful). Make sure that your hair is saturated. Otherwise, you'll end up with patchy colour. - Place plastic development cap or plastic bag around hair (helps stop drips and keeps dye moist). - Set timer for the length needed to be determined by strand test. - Lastly, rinse with cold water until water runs clear. - If we don’t have the colour you’re looking for, make your shade by mixing different dyes! - Looking for a pastel tone?
