- Stainless steel cutlery may be cleaned in the dishwasher. Mild non-chloride detergent without citrus is strongly recommended. The ideal method for washing cutlery is by hand.
- Rinse cutlery and remove residual food after use. Foods that are acidic in nature may stain the steel with prolonged exposure.
- Metal scouring pads or steel wool should not be used as these materials can scratch the surface.
- Place cutlery with handles down in the dishwasher basket to reduce scratching and keep moisture away from knife blades, spoon bowls and fork tines. For safety reasons, we recommend that knives be positioned towards the back of the machine.
- Promptly remove cutlery from the dishwasher after the cycle has finished. Carefully dry surfaces with a soft cloth before putting away. Knife blades are made from hardened stainless steel with reduced nickel content. For this reason, they may be prone to corrosion or rust marks, so extra care should be taken to dry thoroughly.
