The 1000 grit Naniwa Traditional Sharpening Stone is a semi-fine stone used to prep a final edge. If you find that the other Naniwa sharpening stone are too soft for your liking, the Traditional Stone is somewhat harder and will therefore not dish as quickly as other Naniwa sharpening stones. This stone is an allrounder and as such suitable for virtually all tool steels.
