Pablo Picasso

As one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso has shaped contemporary art and continues to inspire generations to come. His career spanned painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, and stage design. For this collection, his first collaboration, four carefully selected paintings have been incorporated into T-shirts.

Pablo Picasso
Painter, sculptor, and printmaker born in Málaga, Spain. In 1900 at age nineteen, Picasso made his first visit to Paris, where he was based from 1904 through the 1940s. In this city of art and culture, he made the acquaintances of Henri Matisse and Georges Braque, who vastly influenced his creative practice. Paris is also where he spent his formative “Blue Period” and “Rose Period” and became known as a founder of the Cubist movement which fundamentally revamped the way that objects are perceived. Historic feats like Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and Guernica combine creative spirit and political messaging into a form that is quint-essentially Picasso. His endless search for new modes of expression led him beyond the world of painting into the realms of sculpture, ceramics, literature and music, leaving a deep impression across the whole of modern art.
