Sharp, high-resolution images with 5X Optical Zoom
Combining a state-of-the-art back-illuminated CMOS image sensor that provides excellent high-sensitivity, low-noise characteristics, and high-speed readout of image data signals, with a high-performance imaging engine, the WG-8 delivers a top sensitivity of ISO 6400 and produces super-high-resolution images of approximately 20 effective megapixels.
The five-times optical zoom lens with focal-length coverage from 5mm to 25mm (equivalent to approximately 28mm to 140mm in the 35mm format), and minimum focusing distance of one centimeter, allows the user to capture a wide range of images, from eye-catching close-ups to sweeping landscapes.

Webcam Function
The WG-8 can be used as a web camera*for real-time streaming of Full HD-resolution video images at 30 frames per second. By combining its macro shooting capability with the built-in Ring Light unit, you can deliver fine-detailed images during online business meetings or private online communications.
*When using a tripod, the optional TE-2 Extension Adapter (available separately) is required to avoid interference with the battery cover.
