Its tannins also make it antidiarrhetic.Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine: (1) as a uterine tonic and as a supportive agent in normal childbirth; (2) to relieve diarrhea.DIRECTIONS & USEAdults: Take 1.7 mL (50 drops) 3-4 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. Take separate from thiamine, mineral supplements, or alkaloid-containing medication.CAUTIONS & NOTESConsult a health care practitioner before use: if you have diabetes; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have a hormone sensitive condition such as breast, uterine, or ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids.
