Moisturising can feel stressful if you have oily skin, but as spot-prone complexions have a slightly impaired skin barrier they are still prone to water loss and nutrient depletion. This lightweight moisturiser is formulated to hydrate without the heaviness and give your skin all the right ingredients to regulate itself.A gently antimicrobial blend of lavender honey water and rose calms blemishes, while witch hazel has mildly antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, meaning it has long been used to treat spots. Over 5% cold-pressed grapeseed oil has a high linoleic acid content - a fatty acid that has a key role in skin barrier health - while a touch of organic jojoba oil, which is structurally similar to the skin’s sebum, supports the skin’s elasticity and imparts lightweight hydration. We add a little neroli and lavender to soothe, and antimicrobial camellia oil and honey to gently clarify.What’s in it for the planet? We love honey for its beautiful effects on the skin - but we only work with beekeepers that meet super high standards of care for bees. The honey in this facial moisturiser comes from the Barro Vermelho community in Brazil: a community centred around bee welfare, minimal intervention bee-keeping and land regeneration. Organic jojoba oil from a conscientious supplier in Peru is dedicated to high welfare standards for employees and uses gentle harvesting methods to reap fallen jojoba seeds which will be pressed into a beautiful oil.Preserved:We've used small amounts of synthetic preservatives to keep this product fresh for 12 months.
