Wusthof Cutting Board x cm

The Wüsthof Beech Cutting Board is a luxury cutting board made with thermo-treated beech. It is easily picked up by the recessed handles in the sides of the board. The board is relatively light, because it is only 3cm thick. Little rubber feet on the bottom make sure the board doesn’t slide around while cutting. Because the beech wood is heat treated, it is insensitive to stretching and shrinking. The wood is ‘baked’ on a temperature between 180 and 220 degrees Celsius. The heat treatment alters the structure of the wood and causes the dark colour and chic look. Another result of the treatment, is that the board is fully impregnated and therefore insensitive to water as well. It will not swell or shrink and is resistant to fungi.
